Another publication identifying a role for gut bacteria and neurotransmitter action. This bacteria was found to secrete large amounts of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) an inhibitory neurotransmitter of the CNS and enteric nervous system.  I’ve posted about the role of gut flora and the CNS in recent days past.
